Teeth Don’t Decay in Healthy Bodies

By Marie

My sister loaned my a dvd by Sally Fallon recently. It answered a few questions I had been pondering…. like “why did God give us teeth that rot and decay? what were people supposed to do before the invention of tooth brushes and dentists?” also “why is it so freaking hard to know what to eat to be healthy! Why do we need scientists?? - shouldn’t the simple task of eating be a bit more simple. Surely mother nature didn’t have to make this so hard.”

Any-way I watched the dvd and the penny dropped…. eating is not hard and teeth do not decay when we eat the food that is natural - the food we were given to eat by nature. Highly processed foods are not natural.

My maid, who comes from a remote part of Indonesia instantly confirmed the dvd.  She told me people in her village didn’t brush their teeth and have strong healthy straight white teeth. They don’t have processed foods there.

So now the task is to try to eat non processed and healthy foods. Luckily so far this hard been easy because these foods are generally the ones that taste good! Whole milk, cream, butter eggs meat with some fat, bone broths making awesome soups.

This blog will be my journey of discovering great tasting nourishing foods and a record of the health of my family and the difference eating right makes.

  1. Welcome Marie. Your maid is a lucky girl. Funny our concept of wealth sometimes leads to poverty in other ways. People who live on subsistence farming tend to be healthier in lifestyle than we more wealthy westerners. I’d love to see a photo of your friend’s teeth.

Hi there Marie! (great name - same as mine!) I’ll try find a photo, she is home on vacation right now. She loved the NT dvd and promised to bring me back coconut oil - which i can’t find here in Singapore. I also told her to bring me back recipes - hehe, she laughed at me. She took with her the recipe for chocolate pudding and bags of chocolate frogs for the kids there, I felt slightly guilty that we were exchanging junk food ideas for good food ideas. I will let you know if she brings back any interesting cooking ideas.

  3. Hey sis! How about some photos?? I know you have awesome ones, would be brilliant to put them up here.. :-)
    xoxoKazz.
